Duties and Responsibilities
The SALA Board of Directors will appoint Division Coordinators (DC's) for each of the five age divisions - U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17. These are volunteer positions, and there is no remuneration or expense reimbursement allocated to the positions. DC's will communicate on matters regarding scheduling and other administrative issues to the SALA President or designate. The specific duties and responsibilities are:
- Prior to the commencement of the season, the DC's will meet with the SALA President to discuss the roles and responsibilities.
- Each DC will be provided with list of teams in their respective division and the contact information for the Managers.
- The DC's will arrange with Managers some method of obtaining the game sheets in a timely manner, and must gather and review all game sheets on a weekly basis (photographs, PDF’s, e-mail and text are all acceptable as long as the image of the game sheet is complete and legible).
- When reviewing game sheets, the DC's will identify penalties that may necessitate suspensions or other disciplinary action, and will notify the SALA Vice President when warranted.
- Each DC will be provided a username and password to enter game results to the SALA website. Weekly results must be entered to the website as soon as possible and no later than noon each Monday.
- Throughout the season the DC will address questions or concerns within the division and shall be the team Manager's point of contact for communication within the division.
- The DC will track games played by affiliate players and ensure all game sheet stickers are recorded properly. Failure to properly disclose information such as overage, underage, or affiliate players on game sheet stickers may lead to fines, automatic game forfeit, or suspensions.
- The DC will ensure all game sheet stickers include registered bench personnel and players. Those who are not properly rostered and without required certifications may receive a suspension or cause the team an automatic game forfeit, or fine.
- During the playoff tournament the DC's will record results and update brackets immediately following each game to ensure SALA website has up to date information.
Important Note: DC's are NOT allowed to change/alter game sheets. For example, if a goal is scored and the wrong player # is recorded, the DC must input the information as recorded on the game sheet. Game sheets are signed off by Official's at the end of each game and therefore no changes/alterations are permitted.
